When you’re part of the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand you’re more than just a job title.At Crowne Plaza we look for people who are dynamic, confident and ambitious; people who excel in their role and help our guests succeed too.Our Front Office team delivers an exceptional customer experience to our hotel guests by showcasing an outstanding property offering options designed to enhance the stay.  With 205 hotel rooms varying from standard rooms through to Premium Suites in a 24/7 environment, the Front Office department work tirelessly to ensure all services and products are at a high standard.Front Desk Agent – Your day to day: Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable experience for our guestsAcknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, in person or on the phone Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and telling them about ways to improve their stay Handle cash and credit transactions Checking guests in and out of the hotel.Stay one step ahead of guests’ needs – record and act on their preferences, and handle their messages, requests, questions and concernsBe a trusted contact for all guests. Help them with anything from bill issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary Stay safe all the time. Following our safety procedures, you’ll report all incidents and wear any protective gear needed Take pride in your appearance and place as a brand ambassador Always know what events and activities are on the day’s schedule Jump into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your helpWhat we need from you: Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to Your problem-solving skills to assist guests and colleagues with any issuesLiterate and tech-savvy - you’ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and competent with computersFlexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job A high school diploma or qualification is desired but not essential.Experience – it is an advantage to have spent at least one year in a front desk or in a customer service position, but it is not essential.What we offer:On the job training and career developmentMeals provided while you are on eligible shiftsUniforms are provided and laundered on siteYou’ll join the IHG network, which entitles you to hotel discounts worldwide25% discount on food and beverage across the hotel and casino 25 AUD Australia - NT Alice Springs & Central Australia Alice Springs 0703
